2017 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium

The 2017 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium brings together a diverse group of faculty to discuss advances in the prevention, detection, and treatment of GI cancers from multidisciplinary perspectives. This year’s program features interactive case-based sessions, debates, and didactic talks from a diverse, international group of speakers, covering cancers of the Upper GI tract and Cancers of the colon, rectum, and anus. Session topics include cutting-edge technologies for pancreatic cancer with discussion around stereotactic body radiation therapy from both the US and EU perspectives. Other topics include molecular subtypes in colorectal cancer, the role of molecular markers in clinical trials, and the immunotherapy of colorectal cancer. Additionally, three keynote talks will highlight The Journey From Intestinal Stem Cells to Cancer Organoids, The Promise of Biology in Advancing Early Diagnosis and Therapy, and Microbes, Microbiota, and Colon Cancer.
